CHEMICAL ENGINEERING EDUCATION IN HUNGARY

 

Joining the website of EFCE WPE, we wish to present the latest information concerning chemical engineering education below.

 

Chemical engineering has been taught as a separate discipline in Hungary since 1871, at present by:

At the above universities chemical engineering education is performed as per the Bologna system, also evaluated by EFCE’s educational working group (Working Party Education) on a regular basis.

EFCE WPE meets twice a year and pays key attention to the following issues:

In addition to the above, various recommendations are also defined at the meetings related to chemical engineering education.

National chemical societies of member countries delegate members into this working group partly from the scope of university teachers and partly from the chemical industry field.

The Hungarian Chemical Society (http://www.mke.org.hu) in the EFCE educational working group has been represented by László Szentmiklóssy (laszlo.szentmiklossy@borsodchem.hu ) from mid- 2008.
